Every year, Graff 7A Ranch creates a new maze design by planting Sorghum Sudangrass in a unique pattern, and that year, the maze was in the shape of Texas.
After writing about a giant 7-acre Texas-shaped corn maze I just had to see it for myself. So, I woke up early one Saturday morning and decided to make the nearly two-hour road trip from Austin to Hondo.
I wasn’t disappointed when I arrived. Graff 7A Ranch has a lot to do, and it felt great to be out in the country. So, if you’re looking for fun fall things to do in Texas, I highly recommend you jump in the car and check out the Texas-shaped maize for yourself, so I’ve put together this little travel guide to help you do just that!

🍎Apple Cannons: The nice people at Graff 7A Ranch will let you launch an apple from a cannon. What better way to get in the fall mood?
🚜 Hayrides: Hop on the trailer and tour the farm.
🔥Campfire rentals: Reserve a cozy campfire or large bonfire to sit around when the sun goes down. Don’t forget to BYO hot dogs and marshmallows!
🐷Farm Animals: Pet a goat, watch the pig races, or ride a horse.
🪕Live Music: Listen to local bands & dance the night away.
