Whether you’re watching the game, celebrating, or just looking to relax after work on the weekend, mocktails can be a great alternative to traditional alcohol cocktails.
While you can get pre-made mocktails in the can, making them at home is easy. The backbone of a good mocktail is a good juice and fun garnishes.
Langer’s 5-calorie juices have 0 additives, 5 calories per serving, 2 grams of carbs, and 1 gram of naturally occurring sugar. I love Langer’s pineapple 5-calorie juice; it’s the perfect base for what I’m calling the South Beach Pineapple Mocktail.
South Beach Pineapple Mocktail with Langers
Ingredients for 1 mocktail:
- 8 ounces of Langers five calorie pineapple juice
- 3 Ounces ginger beer (I like Fever Tree or Q mixers)
- Lime juice (preferably fresh or Santa Cruz)
- 1 vitamin packet like VUE Energy Mix Tropical
- Dried pineapple rings for garnish (I like these from Solely or from Trader Joe’s)
- Tajin (for the rim)
- Cocktail glass or mason jar
- Frother or spoon to stir
Directions:
- Coat the rim of your glass with lime juice, either fresh or bottled, and sprinkle Tajin around it to create a Tajin rim. Sprinkle a little in the glass, too, if you want your mocktail on the spicy side.
2. Pour 8 ounces of Langers 5-calorie pineapple juice into a glass.
3. Pour in the vitamin packet and mix with a frother or spoon until blended.
4. Top with 3 ounces of ginger beer (or to taste)
5. Add a squeeze of lime juice and ice (I put the lime in the glass after I squeeze it)
6. Garnish with dried pineapple and enjoy!
If headed outside or to the beach, transfer to an insulated glass or tumbler to keep it colder longer!
Make the South Beach Mocktail a low-calorie cocktail by adding 2 ounces of tequila. Or try these other Langer’s flavors:
They’re perfect for whipping up mimosas, Palomas, or cucumber margaritas at home with or without the alcohol!
