Thoroughbread

What do foodie friends do when they’re not working? They go on food adventures of course! My friend, Chef Jason Salas, and I did just that a few weeks ago and ended up at Austin’s latest bakery, Thoroughbread.

We certainly weren’t disappointed when we arrived at the establishment tucked alongside Bluebonnet Lane as it had plenty of buns in the oven. Baker, Ryan Goebel specializes in loaf bread made with Organic King Author Flour and if you’re lucky enough, you just might be able to can catch both a glimpse of him working and the giant bags of flour he uses from behind the counter.

While at Thorough Bread, I ended up getting a loaf of the sourdough which I used to make grilled pear and cheddar sandwiches and a chocolate chip cookie which I ate as soon as it came out of the oven!
