🥒🍕 TRUST ME on this one. 😂 If you’re looking for somewhere fun to eat in Fort Pierce, put @littlejimbaitandtackle on your list. The waterfront spot has that laid-back, slightly divey Old Florida atmosphere that I absolutely love. It’s the kind of place you go for the setting and then unexpectedly discover that the food is REALLY good.

And then there’s this pizza.

🤍 Ranch
🍕 Pizza

It sounds completely unhinged, but it was genuinely one of the best things I’ve eaten in Fort Pierce and, dare I say, South-ish Florida. Salty, tangy, creamy, crispy, cheesy… somehow it all WORKS. And the quality of the pizza itself was so much better than I expected.

Come for the Old Florida waterfront vibes. Stay for the weird pickle pizza.

🪼Imagine dipping your hand or paddle into completely dark ocean water and watching it light up electric blue. ✨

I genuinely don’t know if I’ve ever seen anything more beautiful.

I went bioluminescent kayaking with @bkadventure at Haulover Canal near Titusville, inside Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.

We were on the water from about 10:15 p.m. until midnight, paddling through almost complete darkness while millions of microscopic organisms called dinoflagellates lit up whenever the water was disturbed.

Every paddle stroke GLOWED. When fish darted underneath us, you could see glowing trails moving through the water. Even running your hand through the lagoon could trigger big flashes of light. It looked like someone had poured stars into the water. ✨

And the craziest part? It’s completely natural.

Summer is prime time for Florida’s glowing dinoflagellates, with darker nights around the new moon generally providing the best viewing conditions. Haulover Canal is also surrounded by protected wildlife habitat with very little artificial light, making the glow even easier to see.

If you’re looking for a unique Florida getaway, SAVE this one because we packed a lot into one weekend!

🪼 Go bioluminescent kayaking. We took a nighttime tour with @bkadventure at Haulover Canal near Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, and it was genuinely one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever experienced. Every paddle stroke disturbed tiny bioluminescent organisms in the water, creating flashes of blue light around our kayaks. Absolutely surreal.

🚀 Watch a rocket launch. We also happened to catch a #SpaceX launch while we were there! I’d never seen a rocket launch in person before, and watching one light up the sky from Florida’s Space Coast was SO COOL. If you’re planning a trip, definitely check the launch schedule because you might get lucky too.

☕️ Grab breakfast + coffee at @pier13coffee This funky little surf-inspired coffee shop was such a good find. Excellent coffee, delicious breakfast food, phenomenal service, and the cutest laid-back Florida atmosphere.

Between glowing water, rockets shooting into space, and great local coffee, Titusville seriously surprised me. 🌴

🏄A little late posting this one, but this was SUCH a fun day in Jupiter.

I finally made it out to the @BluelineSurf & Paddle Co. Whatever Floats Your Boat event @guanabanas Restaurant , and the creativity was honestly hilarious. People built their own homemade “boats” and attempted to keep them afloat—including someone who somehow made an entire Cybertruck. 😂 Such a fun community event with nothing but good vibes.

Of course, we couldn’t spend the day in Jupiter without making a couple of iconic waterfront stops:

🌴 @squaregroupertikibar for a delicious sandwich, cold drinks, and those quintessential laid-back Jupiter Inlet views.

🍹 Guanabanas for a piña colada, live music, and one of the coolest tropical settings in South Florida. It genuinely feels like you’ve escaped somewhere in the Caribbean.

This is exactly my kind of Florida day: something weird and local + good food + waterfront drinks + live music + a little adventure.

🪼Just a few of the incredible things hiding beneath the surface at #PhilFosterPark.

I could NOT get over this moon jelly. It was huge, translucent, and honestly one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen while snorkeling here. Moon jellies get their name from their almost glowing, moon-like bell, and unlike many jellyfish, they have relatively short tentacles that help move tiny zooplankton toward their mouths.

Moon jellies can show up in larger numbers when conditions are right, so some snorkels may have hardly any while others feel like you’ve stumbled into an entire jellyfish wonderland. And while their sting is generally considered mild for most people, they’re still jellyfish, so admire them without touching.

⭐️ I also saw SO many gorgeous red cushion sea stars! These chunky sea stars live in shallow tropical waters, often around seagrass beds, and can grow surprisingly large.

And PLEASE: look, photograph, but don’t pick them up. Red cushion sea stars (also called Bahama sea stars) are protected in Florida and recreational harvest is prohibited. Removing marine animals from the water or unnecessarily handling them can also stress and injure them.

🌴 Start at Shepard Park, where I parked and started my morning with a walk along the waterfront. The park has tropical tree-lined paths, a fishing dock, and a section of the Stuart Riverwalk that extends over the St. Lucie River. It’s such a peaceful way to start the day.

☕️ From there, you can continue walking along the waterfront toward downtown. I love that you can park once and experience so much of Stuart on foot.

☕️ Next, head to @cultureshift_stuartfl a newly opened ned coffee shop and café where I tried an amazing Japanese soufflé coffee and espresso banana bread. During the day, it’s a cozy spot for coffee and hanging out, but around 5 or 6 p.m., the space transforms into an evening venue with music and events. Such a cool concept!

🩷 Grab a late lunch at @3natives I ordered one of their dragon fruit-based bowls with protein powder, and it was SO refreshing and delicious. If you love açaí bowls, smoothies, and fresh food, this is a great casual stop.

🌊 Then spend some time exploring Downtown Stuart and the Riverwalk, taking in views of the St. Lucie River, boats, docks, and waterfront parks along the way.

Coffee + fresh food + waterfront walks + exploring somewhere new = my kind of South Florida day trip.

🛶 This day trip is totally worth it! #TrapperNelson’s is a historic homestead tucked along the #LoxahatcheeRiver inside #jonathandickinsonstatepark . The only way to reach it is by boat, kayak, or canoe, making the journey part of the adventure.

🌿 I paddled about 4 miles each way through one of Florida's first federally designated Wild & Scenic Rivers and was rewarded with wildlife sightings, Old Florida charm, and a glimpse into the life of the legendary "Wild Man of the Loxahatchee." If you're looking for a unique South Florida day trip, put this one on your list.
