Hay Elotes reopened a few years ago and added a second location after a small hiatus a few summers ago. You can get your chamoyΒ fix once again down on E.7th.Β
Hay Elotes first came on my radar in the Summer of 2017 when I played photographer for a fellow writer at The Austinot. Since then, the little lime green establishment has been my go-to when I desperately need to cool down from the Austin heat. There’s just something about the sweet/spicy/savory combination of a mangonada that is so refreshing and I just can’t get enough. Try one for yourself!
